About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed EPC cost estimates for transmission, distribution, substation, generation, and industrial electrical projects
- Evaluate RFP packages to determine scope, schedule, deliverables, and commercial requirements
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project controls teams to develop pricing and execution plans
- Coordinate site visits to assess constructability and gather field-level data
- Develop supporting proposal documentation including Project Execution Plans, schedules, and risk registers
- Engage subcontractors and vendors to secure pricing and ensure scope alignment
- Facilitate internal estimate review meetings and conduct formal hand-off meetings with Project Management teams
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 3+ years of electrical estimating experience, preferably in the EPC or utility sector
- Proficiency in InEight Estimate or equivalent estimating software
- Proficiency in Bluebeam for digital take-offs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project for developing project schedules
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
