About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead scientific operations and advancement of Keck's precision radial velocity capabilities
- Focus on the Keck Planet Finder instrument to enable exoplanet science
- Collaborate with Observatory scientists, engineers, and software developers
- Optimize precision radial velocity observations and maximize scientific impact
- Serve as a scientific and operational expert supporting high-precision radial velocity observing programs
- Work with instrument teams and researchers to ensure operational excellence and data quality
Requirements
- Scientific expertise in precision radial velocity or related astronomical fields
- Experience in telescope operations, instrumentation, or data quality
- Ability to provide operational leadership and user support
- Collaborative research skills within the exoplanet radial velocity community
