Precision Radial Velocity (PRV) Operations Scientist

Responsibilities

• Lead scientific operations and advancement of Keck's precision radial velocity capabilities
• Focus on the Keck Planet Finder instrument to enable exoplanet science
• Collaborate with Observatory scientists, engineers, and software developers
• Optimize precision radial velocity observations and maximize scientific impact
• Serve as a scientific and operational expert supporting high-precision radial velocity observing programs
• Work with instrument teams and researchers to ensure operational excellence and data quality

Requirements

• Scientific expertise in precision radial velocity or related astronomical fields
• Experience in telescope operations, instrumentation, or data quality
• Ability to provide operational leadership and user support
• Collaborative research skills within the exoplanet radial velocity community
