Precision Machinist

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and electrical discharge machines (EDMs)
• Create and edit 3-, 4-, and 5-axis programs using Mastercam and/or PowerMill based on 3D models
• Fabricate complex jigs, fixtures, and prototype tooling from technical drawings
• Perform precision inspections using micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, and CMMs
• Document production data and maintain shift continuity through detailed communication
• Mentor less experienced machinists and collaborate with engineers to resolve design issues

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 5+ years of experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills and lathes
• Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and blueprint reading
• Expertise in Mastercam and/or PowerMill programming software
• Strong mathematical skills and experience with precision measuring instruments

Preferred Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree in a related field
