Precious Metals Physical Trading Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide front-to-back sales support and operational coverage for the physical precious metals business, focusing on gold and silver.
• Manage the end-to-end trade lifecycle from execution to settlement and reconciliation.
• Ensure accurate settlement under LBMA standards, including loco London, HKG, and Singapore.
• Support operational processes related to SGE and Hong Kong Gold Exchange trades.
• Liaise with internal teams, counterparties, vaults, and service providers to resolve settlement or operational issues.
• Adhere to internal controls, operational risk frameworks, and SFC Code of Conduct.
• Contribute to risk management processes and escalate risk events immediately.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of industry experience in precious metals.
• Strong knowledge of both physical and derivatives markets (Gold, Silver, Platinum, Palladium, Rhodium, Ruthenium, and Iridium).
• Proven experience with SGE, SHFE, TOCOM, and other regional exchanges.
• Deep understanding of physical trade settlement processes, preferably LBMA-related.
• Fluency in English, Chinese, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment with strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Well-networked across Asia with experience in business development and building new client relationships.
• Familiarity with Shanghai Gold Exchange and/or Hong Kong Gold Exchange operations.
