Pre-silicon Validation Engineer - Emulation

Responsibilities

• Drive technical innovation to improve validation capabilities, including tool and script development and methodology enhancement
• Debug issues identified during process, bring-up, validation, and production phases of SoC programs
• Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams to track test execution and ensure all features are validated and optimized on schedule
• Work closely with supporting technical teams on software/hardware modeling frameworks
• Develop and maintain automated solutions for product development and root cause resolution

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in complex SoC verification and validation
• Hands-on experience with FPGA or emulation platforms (e.g., Veloce, Palladium, ZEBU, HAPs, Protium)
• Experience developing C/C++/UEFI based test content
• Proven track record of validating hardware features in pre-silicon environments
• Proficiency in debugging failures using waveform viewers, log files, and microcode trace dumps
• Strong knowledge of x86 or ARM SoC Architecture
• Familiarity with high-speed IO protocols such as PCIe, USB, or AXI
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of low power design emulation, verification, and power management fundamentals
• Experience with UEFI, Windows, and Linux operating systems
• Knowledge of memory subsystems, NPU, and security protocols
• Experience with Pre-Silicon Validation on subsystems, accelerators, or CPU/Power Management using Embedded C and BIOS
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
