Pre-series Specialist

Responsibilities

• Verify and ensure technical conditions for pre-series body construction through IT systems and virtual product development processes (VPE, VFB, and DMU).
• Analyze construction and technical lists to prevent part shortages and production line stoppages.
• Ensure product constructibility by analyzing component interactions and compatibility with body and paint shop facilities.
• Register and guarantee all vehicle part parameters in the Cops system to ensure timely supply by logistics.
• Coordinate and schedule the construction and delivery of pre-series and special bodies according to the Audi AG construction program.
• Manage requirements and constraints with production, planning, logistics, and quality departments to maintain series stability.
• Oversee all necessary testing for pre-series bodies, including destructive testing, ultrasound, and audits, and manage required documentation.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a similar field.
• General knowledge of automotive construction and logistics processes.
• Proficiency in technical drawing interpretation and 3D model interpretation.
• Hands-on experience with systems including Catia (including macros), SAP, Wis Mockup, and Connect.
• Ability to read and interpret staggered start-up plans (Anlaufstafelung).
• Intermediate proficiency in both English and German (high proficiency preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Bill of Materials (BOM) management.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Just-in-time (JIT) principles.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills within a production environment.
