About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the Design Verification Plan (DVP) for vehicle systems and subsystems
  • Reconcile planned vs. executed validation activities
  • Track execution of validation activities at component, subsystem, and full vehicle levels
  • Ensure alignment between engineering, test, and supplier teams
  • Monitor status of test requests, completion, and results availability
  • Highlight risks related to test readiness, delays, or incomplete coverage
  • Perform regular gap analysis between DVP requirements and actual executed tests
  • Provide structured updates and reporting to program leadership
  • Support milestone readiness reviews such as prototype builds and gateway gates
  • Improve processes for DVP creation, validation tracking, and cross-functional coordination

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or related)
  • 7+ years of experience in vehicle development, validation/verification (V&V), or prototype/pre-series environments
  • Strong experience with Design Verification Plans (DVPs) and vehicle validation processes
  • Proven ability to manage complex cross-functional activities
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in full vehicle development programs (OEM or Tier 1)
  • Familiarity with durability, functional, and integration testing
  • Knowledge of automotive development milestones (e.g., PEP, gateways)
  • Experience with program tracking tools like JIRA, Polarion, or Teamcenter
  • Background in both engineering and validation/test environments
  • Experience in startup or fast-paced development organizations
