Pre-sales Engineer, Credit & Risk Solutions

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales and Renewal Specialists to develop and execute strategic plans to meet sales and retention quotas
• Engage with clients to design workflow solutions, support trials, proof of concepts, and RFPs
• Gather and communicate market feedback, competitive intelligence, and regulatory developments to leadership
• Collaborate with global peers to share best practices and support global product initiatives
• Support Go-To-Market (GTM) campaigns and other strategic business initiatives in coordination with marketing and product teams
• Deepen understanding of the Credit Services value proposition to drive synergy across S&P Global divisions

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in institutional financial markets
• Strong knowledge of credit and risk management workflows and industry solutions
• Excellent interpersonal communication, active listening, and presentation skills
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team-based environment
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive for initiative and urgency

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a data vendor, financial institution, asset manager, or consulting firm
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, VBA, R, or SAS
• Advanced professional certifications such as MBA, CFA, or FRM
