Pre-Sales Development Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and basic engineering for industrial refrigeration systems
• Create technical and economic proposals in collaboration with the sales team
• Perform calculation and selection of primary equipment including compressors, evaporators, and condensers
• Define system architectures for NH3, CO2, cascade, and direct expansion systems
• Conduct thermal load analysis, operating condition assessments, and energy balances
• Provide technical support to sales and project teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Participate in client meetings to present technical solutions
• Review engineering deliverables such as P&IDs, layouts, and technical specifications

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field
• 2 to 5 years of experience in industrial refrigeration
• Proven experience in the design or application of systems using NH3, CO2, or synthetic refrigerants
• Experience working on industrial projects within food, beverage, or cold logistics sectors
• Proficiency in thermal load calculations and energy balance analysis
• Knowledge of industry standards including IIAR, ASHRAE, and NOM

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of control strategies for refrigeration systems
• Strong analytical skills and technical judgment
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
