About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the pre-construction phase to ensure project success
- Manage design coordination and value engineering
- Interpret and challenge architectural and engineering drawings
- Lead early-stage project planning including scope definition, risk identification, and programme development
- Support procurement strategies and supply chain engagement
- Collaborate with QS teams on cost planning and budget development
- Liaise with clients, design consultants, fire engineers, and internal delivery teams
- Lead design team meetings and support client presentations and bids
- Manage Building Control processes and Gateway 2 submissions
Requirements
- Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or similar
- In-depth knowledge of fire safety regulations (Building Safety Act 2022, Approved Document B, PAS 9980, BS 8414)
- Experience with framework agreements and public sector clients
- Understanding of Golden Thread principles and digital record-keeping
- Proficiency in MS Project, BIM platforms (Revit, Navisworks), and document control systems (Aconex)
- Membership of CIOB, RICS, or similar professional body
