Pre Clinical Research Assistant

Responsibilities

• Actively approach and support patients/subjects for scientific projects and the biobank via phone and email
• Manage appointments and coordinate with cooperation partners such as practices, study centers, and clinics
• Organize sample collection and shipping, including courier bookings and tracking
• Support sample logistics and preparatory handling according to SOPs (reception, labeling, simple processing)
• Maintain and track documentation, appointment statuses, and sample statuses
• Collaborate with lab management, scientific staff, and external partners to ensure efficient workflows
• Provide on-site support at cooperation partners approximately 1–2 times per month within a 100 km radius
• Coordinate with medical staff for on-site sample collection, including documentation and transport to the lab
• Assist in expanding the cooperation network through research and initial contact with potential partners

Requirements

• Background in medicine, natural sciences, or health-related fields (e.g., MFA, MTA, BTA, B.Sc. in Biology/Biomedicine)
• Initial professional experience in patient/subject contact or coordination in clinical settings is welcome
• Strong organizational skills and a structured, independent way of working
• Excellent German (written and spoken) and good English for internal communication
• Valid Class B driver's license (company car provided for occasional site visits)
• Willingness to occasionally work outside core hours for telephone availability
