About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage complex scheduling tasks, including appointment booking, template adjustments, and patient outreach
- Ensure accurate data collection and reporting, including referral tracking and insurance authorization processing
- Deliver exceptional customer service by resolving escalated issues and supporting patient satisfaction
- Oversee waiting room operations, verify patient information, and assist with check-in/check-out processes
- Complete and process forms, prior authorizations, prescription renewals, and other documentation
- Collaborate with supervisors on coverage and workflow improvements
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and special projects
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of onsite administrative or customer service experience
- Basic level of proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a medical office administration program
- Previous experience in a Pediatrics or general healthcare setting
- Proven experience with scheduling software and electronic medical records systems (Epic or equivalent)
- Strong problem-solving and complex patient management skills
