Practice Patient Care Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Greet patients upon arrival and secure all required documentation and signatures.
• Obtain and verify insurance and demographic information while managing collection attempts.
• Facilitate patient care coordination between primary, specialty, and ancillary services.
• Manage patient intake, create and maintain medical records, and coordinate new patient information.
• Process and route incoming calls, responding to departmental and practice inquiries.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments and manage Televox reports.
• Handle distribution of mail, faxes, and electronic communications.
• Support a patient-centered medical home through efficient and compassionate service.

Requirements

• High School degree or GED required.
• Proven experience in customer service.
• Knowledge of medical office operations, including scheduling, registration, and electronic medical records.
• Ability to work the scheduled shift of Tuesday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (32 hours per week).

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Experience with billing, coding, charge capture, and insurance authorizations.
• Knowledge of payer guidelines and regulatory compliance standards.
