Practice Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of professionals responsible for the financial management of the World Bank portfolio in Latin America and the Caribbean.
• Provide strategic leadership for governance-related analytical work and core advisory services regarding financial management, accounting, and auditing.
• Oversee the unit's program and portfolio of financial management operational services delivery across the region.
• Drive dialogue with external counterparts, including multilateral organizations, donor communities, government officials, and the private sector.
• Build and mentor high-performing, diverse teams, managing workloads and career development paths.
• Manage the unit budget efficiently, ensuring compliance with Bank rules and strategic resource allocation.
• Foster collaboration across technical and geographic boundaries to deliver integrated governance solutions.

Requirements

• Master's degree in accounting, finance, public financial management, public policy, or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant professional experience.
• Qualified professional accountant (CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent membership in an internationally recognized body).
• Robust technical knowledge of country Public Financial Management (PFM) systems and corporate financial reporting.
• Proven experience managing multi-location or virtual teams.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal).
• Strong understanding of international financial reporting and auditing standards.
