Practice Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Medical Oncology ambulatory physician practice at the Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine.
• Oversee staff scheduling, daily assignments, time and attendance, and overtime monitoring.
• Ensure practice compliance with regulatory agencies such as JCAHO, IDPH, and CAP/CLIA.
• Collaborate with providers and staff to ensure efficient patient throughput and high-quality patient experiences.
• Monitor performance metrics and daily reports to make real-time operational adjustments.
• Manage the operating budget, including labor and non-labor expenses.
• Oversee revenue cycle services, including charge entry, denials, disputes, and billholds.
• Champion continuous process improvement and service recovery efforts.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in healthcare and customer service.
• Completed Bachelor’s degree from an accredited academic institution.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to manage complex organizational units.
• Proven ability to use data to drive performance improvement.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in a multispecialty ambulatory practice.
• Experience in an academic medical center environment with 12 or more providers.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a healthcare-related field.
• Six Sigma or Lean certification.
• Knowledge of hospital information systems and experience with LEAN frameworks.
