Practice Manager, Orthopaedics

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Orthopaedic ambulatory physician practice at the DCAM – Hyde Park clinic.
• Oversee staff scheduling, daily assignments, time and attendance, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure efficient patient throughput by collaborating with providers and monitoring performance metrics.
• Champion patient and family experience, including service recovery and coordination of care.
• Monitor operating budgets for labor and non-labor expenses.
• Oversee revenue cycle services, including charge entry, denials, disputes, and billholds.
• Ensure practice compliance with regulatory agencies such as JCAHO, IDPH, and CAP/CLIA.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare and customer service, ideally in an ambulatory practice framework.
• Proven ability to use data to drive performance improvement.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to manage complex organizational units.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with physician leaders, preferably in an academic medical center.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a healthcare-related field.
• Experience using LEAN methodologies for performance improvement.
