About the role
Responsibilities
- Foster a client-centric environment for pets and their parents
- Promote local community engagement through marketing and onsite events
- Resolve client concerns and manage financial arrangements
- Hire, train, and develop a high-performing support team
- Schedule team members and ensure appropriate staffing levels
- Conduct performance reviews and oversee employee development
- Create budgets, monitor KPIs, and analyze financial statements
- Manage inventory and ensure financial efficiency
- Supervise facility cleaning, maintenance, and organization
- Enforce safety and security protocols
- Collaborate with marketing to execute advertising and outreach strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience managing a high-touch client service business (e.g., spa, medical office, veterinary practice, hospitality)
- Proven ability to manage labor costs, scheduling, and P&L
- Strong leadership and team development skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) designation
