About the role
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives for the Tax and Tax Controversy practices.
- Manage talent across the group, including recruiting pipelines, performance improvement plans, and attorney reviews.
- Support the firm's free market system by helping lawyers identify appropriate staffing and new work opportunities.
- Develop strategic business goals, objectives, and tactics in alignment with firm strategy.
- Partner with marketing and business development teams to manage external events, rankings, and client updates.
- Manage practice-specific data, including pitches, targets, client outreach, and staffing.
- Collaborate with professional development to create practice-specific educational trainings and CLE programming.
- Drive process improvements and manage the associate journey, including mentorship and career guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required (Advanced degree such as JD or MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of related professional experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a management role.
- Strong knowledge of the legal industry, including relevant laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with high emotional intelligence.
- Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
