Practical Nursing Clinical Instructor

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical instruction in a safe and supportive learning environment.
• Supervise and mentor students at clinical sites, maintaining a strong presence throughout their shifts.
• Foster the development of professional skills, knowledge, and behaviors by modeling excellence.
• Deliver engaging clinical, lab, and simulation instruction aligned with the curriculum.
• Lead insightful discussions during post-clinical debriefings and simulation sessions to reinforce learning.
• Communicate effectively with the PN Program Coordinator regarding challenges, needs, or resources.
• Maintain schedule flexibility to meet the needs of clinical sites and students.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) or APRN license in the state of Utah.
• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited institution.
• Current enrollment in a BSN program (completion within one year preferred).
• At least two years of hands-on experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to travel to various clinical sites throughout Utah County.
• Ability to pass a criminal history background check.

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN, MSN, or MSN in Nursing Education.
• Previous experience in nursing education or leadership roles.
