PR Specialist - Performance

Responsibilities

• Drive the growth of the Skechers Performance division across the UK & Ireland through strategic PR campaigns.
• Execute media pitches across print, broadcast, digital, and influencer channels to secure high-impact placements.
• Oversee content and product calendars while monitoring market trends and emerging technologies in the performance sports landscape.
• Cultivate relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), sports influencers, and specialist media.
• Act as a brand ambassador at press events, trade shows, and brand activations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for athletes and collaborate with Corporate and Sports Marketing teams.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Athletic, Performance Sports, or Footwear PR.
• Established contacts within the performance and sporting press.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 80% of the time) to meet press, editors, and attend events.
• Ability to work unsociable hours, weekends, and extended hours when necessary.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Photoshop, and Meltwater.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
