About the role
Responsibilities
- Safely operate powered material-handling and cut equipment, including saws, shears, and CNC programs, to support production and fabrication.
- Prepare work packages by reviewing drawings, work orders, and tooling instructions.
- Position and secure heavy materials using electric stackers, overhead cranes, and vacuum handling systems.
- Perform machine setups, including installing cutters, blades, and clamps, and setting machine coordinates and offsets.
- Conduct first-part checks and monitor machine performance to ensure dimensional accuracy and part conformance.
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to inspect parts.
- Perform finishing operations including deburring, filing, grinding, and cleaning.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety, hazardous-materials, and documentation procedures.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience working with precision measuring tools.
- 2+ years of experience using basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8-hour shift.
- Basic computer competency.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Must be a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- 1+ years of experience using hand and/or pneumatic tools.
- 1+ years of experience setting up shapers, saws, shears, and related machinery.
