Power Systems/Arc Flash Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build facility power models in SKM to perform short circuit, coordination, and arc flash safety analyses
• Lead site walkthroughs, participate in project meetings, and gather physical data from facility electrical systems
• Extract technical specifications from legacy drawings, field notes, blueprints, and equipment submittals
• Partner with drafters to update facility electrical drawings using accurate simulation model data
• Write, format, and deliver comprehensive technical reports detailing power system performance and safety findings
• Identify electrical system deficiencies and recommend actionable engineering solutions
• Generate and print equipment safety labels based on compliance and hazard analysis results

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical systems, operations, or maintenance
• Proficiency in software packages for electrical system modeling
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584, NEC, and/or NESC
• Familiarity with electrical drawings including one-lines, power plans, and panel schedules
