About the role
Responsibilities
- Build and validate PSCAD models to demonstrate reliable grid performance and meet utility requirements
- Evaluate system behavior during faults, voltage and frequency disturbances, and weak-grid conditions
- Work closely with internal teams, utilities, and equipment manufacturers
- Support model reviews through commissioning for large-scale data center projects and utility interconnections
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in power system studies with hands-on PSCAD EMT modeling
- Understanding of power-electronics-based loads such as UPS, VFDs, and converters
- Knowledge of grid interconnection requirements
- Licensed Engineer
- Strong technical writing and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting utility or ISO reviews
