Power Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and validate PSCAD models to demonstrate reliable grid performance and meet utility requirements
• Evaluate system behavior during faults, voltage and frequency disturbances, and weak-grid conditions
• Work closely with internal teams, utilities, and equipment manufacturers
• Support model reviews through commissioning for large-scale data center projects and utility interconnections

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in power system studies with hands-on PSCAD EMT modeling
• Understanding of power-electronics-based loads such as UPS, VFDs, and converters
• Knowledge of grid interconnection requirements
• Licensed Engineer
• Strong technical writing and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting utility or ISO reviews
