About the role
Responsibilities
- Model utility system/facility power systems using SKM
- Conduct short circuit analysis, protective device coordination, equipment evaluation, arc flash and shock hazard analysis
- Engage in meetings and walkthroughs to quantify scope of work and gather facility electrical data
- Extract information from electrical drawings, legacy drawings, field data, and submittals
- Work with drafters to update electrical drawings based on SKM models
- Develop engineering study reports and provide recommendations to remedy power system deficiencies
- Utilize software packages to create analysis reports and print safety identification labels
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance
- Proficiency in electrical system modeling software
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584, NEC and/or NESC
- Familiarity with electrical drawings including one-lines, power plans, and panel schedules
