About the role

Responsibilities

  • Model utility system/facility power systems using SKM
  • Conduct short circuit analysis, protective device coordination, equipment evaluation, arc flash and shock hazard analysis
  • Engage in meetings and walkthroughs to quantify scope of work and gather facility electrical data
  • Extract information from electrical drawings, legacy drawings, field data, and submittals
  • Work with drafters to update electrical drawings based on SKM models
  • Develop engineering study reports and provide recommendations to remedy power system deficiencies
  • Utilize software packages to create analysis reports and print safety identification labels

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance
  • Proficiency in electrical system modeling software
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584, NEC and/or NESC
  • Familiarity with electrical drawings including one-lines, power plans, and panel schedules
