Power Systems Design Engineer

Etched is building hardware for frontier intelligence. We co-design chips, racks, software, and manufacturing to deliver best-in-class throughput and latency across both prefill and decode workloads. Our first products are heavily focused on inference.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced power supply solutions to support extremely high power demands for processor applications
• Work closely with power supply vendors to select, design, and qualify components and solutions
• Implement multi-phase power solutions for low-voltage processors to ensure stable and efficient power delivery
• Develop and optimize power conversion solutions from 48V input to lower voltage outputs
• Conduct detailed PCB IR drop and power loss analysis using simulation tools
• Assist in the design and development of power delivery systems for large BGA packages
• Oversee testing and validation of power supply designs to ensure high-quality outcomes
• Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including schematics and layout files

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• At least 8 years of experience in power supply design for high-power processor applications
• Proven expertise in multi-phase power solutions and 48V input conversion
• Experience with PCB IR drop analysis and power loss simulations
• Knowledge of large BGA power development and thermal management
• Proficiency in power supply design tools and simulation software such as Cadence Voltus IC Power Integrity Solution
