Power Pro Technician

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, test, repair, and service electrical generating equipment, water distribution systems, flood lights, air compressors, and aircraft arresting systems
• Examine electrical equipment and systems for damage, corrosion, and proper operation
• Utilize test equipment and meters such as voltmeters, ammeters, megohmmeters, and oscilloscopes
• Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and maintenance malfunction data
• Perform required inspections and scheduled maintenance to prevent potential systems failure
• Assist in the erection, construction, and operation of Bare Base power generation and associated equipment
• Prepare and complete documentation including Work Orders and USAF Supply updates
• Ensure compliance with USAF and company safety, hazardous material, and quality standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of related experience
• Experience working on Air Force Base Expeditionary Airfield Resources (BEAR)
• Ability to read electrical schematics
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust U.S. Government Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Vocational/technical training, licenses, or certificates
• Primary and Secondary Power Equipment training
• Experience performing technical inspections
• Forklift experience
