Power Plant Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of the work environment and coordinate operations for generating equipment and Datacenter Operations
• Plan and supervise planned outages
• Define controls to ensure contractor tasks are performed safely
• Provide safety training for employees on policies, regulations, and procedures
• Investigate accidents and analyze incident reports, metrics, and injury case studies
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and other applicable environmental permits and laws
• Develop and implement occupational health and safety programs
• Conduct regular facility inspections to detect and mitigate potential hazards
• Prepare and submit accident reports, Root Cause Analysis, OSHA logs, and MSHA Quarterly reports
• Oversee the administration of the workers' compensation program

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in safety management, industrial safety, or industrial hygiene with two years of experience, OR five years of experience in solid fuel power generation/power-related business
• Board Certification (e.g., CSP, ASP, OHST, CUSA, CIH)
• Minimum of two years relevant power plant-related experience
• At least two years of supervisory or managerial experience
• Strong technical writing and verbal presentation skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel)
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with changing priorities
