Power Originator

Responsibilities

• Optimize asset utilization by developing and executing short-term strategies for power
• Coordinate deal implementation with Trading, Origination, and Risk teams
• Manage short-term events and disruptions to maintain value capture and minimize risk
• Support commercial readiness by preparing analysis and toolkits for trading strategies
• Interface with legal, tax, and credit groups to facilitate deal review and approval
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal control requirements
• Monitor portfolio performance and recommend corrective actions

Requirements

• Experience in Power Origination within north-west European markets (UK, BEL, NL, DE, IT)
• Experience originating and executing structured products (e.g., Clean-Spark-Spread Options, gas-to-power tolling)
• Experience generating third-party flow business
• Experience running competitive tenders for large gas and power supply
• Experience with asset optimization oversight
• Familiarity with European Capacity Markets and Ancillary Service Markets
• Experience building new power trading capabilities or implementing new trading structures
