Power Market Analyst

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end European power market stack for the Forward Power desk
• Build and maintain canonical data models for European power markets
• Convert data into explicit drivers of spreads and implied flows
• Develop feature layers linking market fundamentals
• Translate trading questions into durable analytics, monitoring, and research inputs
• Partner with engineering to ensure the reliability and performance of the data stack

Requirements

• Strong understanding of European power markets and how short-term regimes influence the forward curve
• Proficiency in Python and SQL with experience building reproducible pipelines in a cloud environment
• Strong analytical judgement and data quality discipline, including working with revised data releases
• Commercial mindset with the ability to explain drivers clearly and turn analysis into trade conviction
• Ownership mindset suited to a fast-paced trading environment
