About the role
Responsibilities
- Design generator stators and stator windings with a focus on safety, reliability, and manufacturability
- Apply principles of 3-phase medium and high voltage permanent magnet machines to product development
- Guide the manufacturing approach for new products and identify necessary tooling requirements
- Utilize industrial manufacturing standards for construction and material selection
- Define and document engineering best practices, including tools, instructions, and templates
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff members
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (focus on Power Generation Systems preferred)
- 5+ years of industry experience in the design of medium or high voltage power generation systems
- Direct experience in generator design
- Hands-on experience with the manufacturing and installation of industrial electricity generation systems
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
