Power Generation Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design generator stators and stator windings with a focus on safety, reliability, and manufacturability
• Apply principles of 3-phase medium and high voltage permanent magnet machines to product development
• Guide the manufacturing approach for new products and identify necessary tooling requirements
• Utilize industrial manufacturing standards for construction and material selection
• Define and document engineering best practices, including tools, instructions, and templates
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff members

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (focus on Power Generation Systems preferred)
• 5+ years of industry experience in the design of medium or high voltage power generation systems
• Direct experience in generator design
• Hands-on experience with the manufacturing and installation of industrial electricity generation systems
• U.S. citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
