Responsibilities

  • Perform component and device level testing of power converters including inverters, on-board chargers, and energy storage systems
  • Automate test stands and implement CAN based control of power converters
  • Design schematics and instrument PCBAs while providing design for manufacturing inputs
  • Conduct environmental, shock, and vibration testing including data analysis
  • Instrument high-voltage test setups using low-inductance measurement practices
  • Perform component and vehicle level testing for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
  • Execute dyno testing, troubleshooting, and data analysis for inverter testing with drive units
  • Support design releases and modifications based on vendor feedback
  • Setup test benches for board, component, and vehicle level bring-up
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot electrical issues
  • Engage with suppliers and sourcing to identify components for procurement
  • Generate technical reports and present findings at critical review meetings

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering within automotive, robotics, aerospace, or similar fields
  • Strong hands-on capability for testing and troubleshooting complex electrical components and systems
  • Experience with circuit simulation software such as LTspice
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate in a dynamic team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience troubleshooting EMI related issues
  • Experience with PCBs
  • Familiarity with Altium Designer or similar schematics capture and PCB layout tools
  • Embedded firmware development and programming experience
  • Experience with software and digital communication specifications
