Responsibilities

• Lead the design, analysis, and testing of DC-DC power converters for harsh space environments
• Conduct electrical power system and sub-system level design trades
• Develop and optimize power conversion systems for efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
• Address and resolve EMI/EMC challenges in power adaptors
• Lead schematic capture and PCB layout design
• Oversee board bring-up and execute comprehensive test campaigns
• Develop efficiency, mass, and cost models for power electronics designs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM discipline
• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in power converter development
• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or eligibility under U.S. export regulations
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering
• Expertise in analog control and discrete logic design
• Proficiency in voltage and current mode control and compensation design
• Experience designing wire wound and planar inductors and transformers
• Familiarity with spacecraft electrical power systems and radiation effects
• Experience with solar arrays and lithium-ion battery handling
