Our mission is to electrify global thermal systems across data centers, manufacturing, and energy industries through our revolutionary Heat Processing Unit (HPU).
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy high density power conversion and isolation systems
- Develop power distribution architectures and analyze critical loads
- Simulate power electronics systems and develop models for controls and embedded systems
- Work with a cross-disciplinary team to develop all aspects of the Karman Heat Processing Unit
- Develop analytical, physics-based models to determine hardware performance and limitations
- Analyze and implement compliance requirements for certification (UL, CE) and industrial/grid codes (NEC, NFPA)
- Perform hands-on integration of high-power systems on product skids
Requirements
- B.Sc./B.Eng. in electrical engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in power distribution hardware and systems design
- Experience designing and fabricating electrical devices using Altium or KiCAD
- Familiarity with energy conversion devices, switches, transformers, disconnects, breakers, and fuses
- Hands-on experience with power distribution equipment and integration
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in medium-voltage distribution
- Experience working with electrical safety standards in the UL or IEC family
- Experience with analytical design, turbomachinery testing, or engine testing
- Experience with mechanical packaging for electrical systems
