About the role

Responsibilities

  • Drive the architecture, component selection, and design of high-power (100kW to MW class) power electronics
  • Lead the testing and bring-up of power electronics components and integration with powertrain systems
  • Oversee and execute complex PCB design optimized for high reliability and performance
  • Lead DFMEA, worst-case circuit analysis (WCCA), and thermal analysis
  • Direct testing and validation efforts on high voltage components and systems
  • Architect test bench setups and provide hands-on support for board and vehicle-level bring-up
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot electrical and EMI issues
  • Engage with suppliers to identify and procure cutting-edge components
  • Generate technical reports and present design reviews to leadership

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on electrical engineering experience
  • Proven track record designing and testing high-power electronics (100kW+ range required)
  • Strong background in analog/digital electronics, power conversion, and energy storage
  • Proficiency with Altium Designer and circuit simulation tools like LTspice
  • Extensive experience with mixed-signal PCB design for traction inverters or chargers
  • Proven experience troubleshooting and resolving complex EMI/EMC issues
  • Degree (BS/MS/PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Megawatt (MW) scale power systems
  • Familiarity with software, digital communication specifications, and embedded firmware
  • Experience with CATIA for design releases
