Power BI Developer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
• Connect and integrate data from Snowflake and other various data sources
• Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
• Build and optimize data models using star schema, relationships, and DAX calculations
• Develop reusable datasets and semantic models to support business needs
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Implement row-level security (RLS) and maintain data governance practices
• Manage Power BI Service deployments and schedule data refreshes
• Monitor and troubleshoot report performance to ensure data accuracy and consistency

Requirements

• 6 to 9 years of professional experience in BI development
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
• Solid experience working with Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse
• High proficiency in SQL for data manipulation
• Strong knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
• Deep understanding of data modeling concepts such as star and snowflake schemas
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts
• Experience with performance tuning in both Power BI and Snowflake

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Data Services including ADF, Azure SQL, or Synapse
• Knowledge of Python or R for advanced data analysis
• Experience using version control tools like Git
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
