Power BI Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources including SQL databases, APIs, and Excel
• Develop data models and DAX calculations to support business analytics requirements
• Optimize Power BI reports for performance and scalability
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting and analytics requirements
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity in reporting solutions
• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and best practices for data governance
• Maintain documentation for dashboards, datasets, and data pipelines
• Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis

Requirements

• Strong experience with Microsoft Power BI (Power Query, DAX, Data Modeling)
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation
• Experience working with data warehousing concepts
• Ability to connect Power BI to multiple data sources (SQL Server, Excel, APIs, Cloud sources)
• Understanding of ETL processes and data transformation
• Knowledge of data visualization best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field
• Experience with Azure Data Services or Microsoft Fabric
• Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis
• Experience in business intelligence or data analytics projects
