Power BI Developer II

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI semantic models including DAX measures, KPIs, and hierarchies
• Work with Trial Operations and Project Finance to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and refresh efficiency
• Partner with Data Engineering to ensure analytics-ready data structures and validate datasets
• Implement row-level security (RLS), workspace permissions, and dataset access controls
• Develop certified datasets to enable self-service analytics across the organization
• Document datasets, measures, and assumptions for transparency

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Intelligence, Finance, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience developing enterprise Power BI solutions
• Strong expertise in DAX, Power BI semantic modeling, and Power Query (M)
• Proficiency in SQL for validation and analysis
• Strong experience with data modeling such as star schema and grain management
• Experience building analytics for executive and operational audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in clinical trials, CROs, or life sciences
• Exposure to financial or operational analytics and ERP datasets
• Familiarity with Azure data tools and the Power BI Service
• Experience working with centralized data warehouse teams
