Power BI & Azure Fabric Admin

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage enterprise Power BI Service and Microsoft Fabric environments, ensuring high availability and stability.
• Define and enforce governance frameworks, including workspace strategy, access controls, and security policies.
• Lead L2/L3 operations, managing incident, problem, change, and release management using ITIL best practices.
• Oversee capacity planning, workload management, and performance tuning for Premium/Fabric environments.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for Power BI and Fabric using Azure DevOps to manage automated deployments.
• Provide technical leadership and hands-on troubleshooting for dataset refreshes, gateway issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Manage and mentor a globally distributed team of permanent staff, contractors, and strategic partners.
• Collaborate with Data Architecture, Engineering, and Security teams to integrate Azure Data Services like Data Factory and Synapse.
• Drive operational excellence through automated monitoring, alerting, and disaster recovery strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Power BI Service and Microsoft Fabric Administration.
• Deep expertise in Power BI Services and the Azure Fabric Platform.
• Proficiency in SQL, DAX, and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Data Services, including Data Factory, Synapse, and Lakehouse.
• Proven experience in people leadership and managing large-scale technical teams.
• Extensive experience with ITIL and Agile principles within a large-scale enterprise.
• Strong understanding of data security, privacy, governance, and regulatory compliance.
