Pouch Machine Operator - Level 1

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect products for defects and complete periodic inspection reports
• Remove products from machines and discard defective items or scrap bags
• Pack finished products into designated containers using pack assist and auto pack equipment
• Implement correct aseptic procedures when closing boxes and mini bins
• Maintain Lean documentation, including hour-by-hour charts and Kaizen newspapers
• Operate auxiliary equipment such as Tap Applicators, Bag Separators, and Manual Hose Applicators
• Report recurring machine or product deficiencies to management immediately
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S and housekeeping standards
• Assist in machine setups and training other employees on Level 1 tasks

Requirements

• 2-year technical college certificate in a manufacturing-related field or equivalent work experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Proficiency in basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals)
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety rules, and operating instructions
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to work various shifts and perform overtime as needed
