Postdoctoral Scientist - Battery Electrolytes

Responsibilities

• Engage in hands-on laboratory work, including experimental design, execution, and capability development
• Utilize internal research facilities to generate high-quality data for battery materials, including anodes and electrolytes
• Contribute to cross-functional teams and provide technical leadership within your area of expertise
• Collaborate with market development teams to identify technical opportunities and support commercialization pathways
• Leverage external partnerships and third-party capabilities to accelerate technology development
• Publish and present research findings in peer-reviewed journals and at professional conferences

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
• Strong research background in battery materials
• Expertise in both basic and advanced battery testing and electrochemical analysis
• Ability to plan and execute independent lab work while collaborating in multidisciplinary teams
• Record of technical publications or presentations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of battery electrolyte design principles and optimization for diverse performance targets
• Familiarity with the fundamentals and design principles of multiple battery chemistries (e.g., Li-ion, Na-ion, Li-S)
