Postdoctoral Scholar – Optimization and Imaging

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-level research in mathematical imaging, nonlinear optimization, and neural networks
• Disseminate research findings through peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations
• Co-mentor graduate and undergraduate student researchers
• Actively contribute to the intellectual life and seminar culture of the Mathematics Department

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics or a closely related field by the time of appointment
• Demonstrated potential for excellence in both research and teaching
• Ability to work onsite in Syracuse, NY

Preferred Qualifications

• Research interests that overlap with or complement the work of Professor Lixin Shen’s research group, particularly in the areas of optimization and imaging sciences
