Postdoctoral Researcher

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of research projects focused on Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) using Agentic AI, Reinforcement Learning (RL), and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) for smart grid protection.
• Publish scientific articles in high-impact indexed journals (Q1/Q2).
• Support the training and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students.
• Assist in the preparation of research protocols and grant proposals to secure external funding.
• Develop research lines in cybersecurity and communication networks, specifically regarding traffic monitoring and autonomous cyberattack response.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field (obtained before December 2025).
• Demonstrated research experience with a track record of publications in Q1/Q2 journals.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, intrusion detection systems, and network traffic analysis.
• Expertise in machine learning and reinforcement learning.
• Proficiency in Python programming and network simulation tools.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of quantum computing, post-quantum cryptography, or quantum resilience.
• Experience with wireless technologies, IoT, 5G, or 6G.
• Experience with hardware or edge computing platforms such as ESP32, Raspberry Pi, or Jetson.
• Skills in stochastic and statistical modeling and experimental system evaluation.
