Responsibilities
- Conduct independent research in the lab focused on designing, building, and testing quantum noise reduction schemes for current and future gravitational-wave detectors
- Mentor and advise graduate students within the Syracuse University Gravitational-Wave Group
- Contribute to the development of technology for gravitational-wave detection
Requirements
- PhD in Physics, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in optics (highly prioritized)
- Knowledge of quantum optics
- Knowledge of electronics
- Experience with interferometer control and simulation
