Responsibilities
- Pioneer research areas by intellectually engaging with the research group
- Design and conduct experiments to develop nature-inspired strategies for biopolymer condensates
- Write research proposals and publish results in peer-reviewed journals
- Train undergraduate and graduate students in laboratory techniques
- Coordinate purchasing and manage laboratory resources
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymer Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, or a closely related field
- Prior publication record in the characterization of the structure and dynamics of soft condensed matter
- Experience with rheological and scattering techniques
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the production, isolation, and characterization of peptides and proteins
