About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct research studies on the prevention and treatment of disordered eating, eating disorders, low energy availability, mental health conditions, and REDs
- Conduct research studies focused on improving health, performance, and mental resilience in military populations
- Contribute to ongoing research efforts regarding performance optimization strategies via health behaviors
- Develop content and functionality for the technology-based delivery of behavioral interventions
- Assist in conducting statistical analyses of research datasets
- Prepare peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts, abstracts, and presentations for dissemination
- Manage study operations, including participant recruitment, data collection, and regulatory compliance
Requirements
- PhD in nutrition, psychology, exercise science, kinesiology, epidemiology, public health, or a related field
- Demonstrated research experience in behavioral health, clinical science, translational research, population health, or performance psychology
- Experience conducting human subjects research, including study coordination and regulatory compliance
- A proven record of scholarly productivity, such as peer-reviewed publications or conference presentations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration
- Ability to manage multiple research and clinical responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of evidence-based approaches related to mental health, psychological resilience, body image, disordered eating, sleep, or nutrition
- Proficiency with technology-enabled research platforms, including digital health tools, smartphone applications, or telehealth
- Experience with quantitative or qualitative data analysis using statistical software such as SPSS, SAS, R, or STATA
