Postdoctoral Researcher - LLMs

Responsibilities

• Analyze the working principles of Large Language Models (LLM) theoretically and empirically
• Propose and verify new analysis perspectives and algorithms to improve model efficiency, stability, and performance
• Explore new LLM capabilities such as tool use, agentic learning, and reasoning in interactive environments
• Investigate the potential of LLM in Physical AI and World Models to create new forms of interactive intelligence
• Collaborate with various research areas to translate research outcomes into actual game production and player experiences
• Lead in-depth research in specific areas and publish findings in major AI conferences like NeurIPS, ICLR, or ICML

Requirements

• PhD in AI, Computer Science, Statistics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field (or expected to obtain before joining)
• Research experience in theoretical or empirical analysis/modeling of Large Language Models (LLM)
• Deep understanding of factors affecting LLM performance, including model architecture, training algorithms, and optimization techniques
• Experience in research and experimentation using Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX
• Quantitative analysis skills including model performance evaluation, benchmark design, and experiment automation
• Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven research track record with first-author publications or awards at top-tier AI conferences (NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, etc.)
• Deep research experience in LLM internal structure analysis, scaling laws, representation learning, or model interpretability
• Experience in large-scale language model training or analysis
• A clear research vision and agenda in specific LLM domains such as scaling, reasoning, or interpretability
