Postdoctoral Researcher - Computational Chemistry

Responsibilities

• Prepare biochemical systems in native environments and perform equilibrium and non-equilibrium molecular dynamics simulations, including free-energy calculations.
• Set up and perform electronic structure and multiscale QM/MM calculations.
• Build databases for machine learning models and develop models for electronic properties.
• Perform network analysis and build machine learning models relevant for allosteric processes.
• Provide technical assistance to other students and prepare research presentations.
• Write and publish peer-reviewed research papers.
• Travel and present research findings at professional conferences.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in electronic structure theory, QM/MM simulations, or MD simulations.
• Experience building machine learning models within a biochemical context.
• Proficiency in coding and scripting using Python or Tcl.
• Familiarity with molecular dynamics packages such as NAMD, AMBER, CHARMM, or GROMACS.
• Experience with molecular visualization tools like VMD, PyMOL, or UCSF Chimera.
• Ability to work as an independent scientist.
