Responsibilities
- Design, execute research, and analyze data related to physics-informed AI/ML for battery materials
- Write high-quality manuscripts and fellowship proposals
- Assist in grant writing to support lab initiatives
- Mentor and collaborate with graduate and undergraduate students
- Present research findings at professional conferences and workshops
- Participate in various duties related to the overall mission of the Shi Group
Requirements
- PhD in materials science and engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, computer science, or an equivalent field
- Demonstrated research excellence evidenced by a solid publication record or significant research accomplishments
- Strong knowledge in ML/AI applications
- Previous training or research experience in battery-related studies
- Proficiency in one or more of the following: solid mechanics, numerical electrochemical modeling, or DFT/MD modeling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across scientific disciplines
