Postdoctoral Researcher - AI/ML Design for Energy Storage Batteries

Responsibilities

• Design, execute research, and analyze data related to physics-informed AI/ML for battery materials
• Write high-quality manuscripts and fellowship proposals
• Assist in grant writing to support lab initiatives
• Mentor and collaborate with graduate and undergraduate students
• Present research findings at professional conferences and workshops
• Participate in various duties related to the overall mission of the Shi Group

Requirements

• PhD in materials science and engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, computer science, or an equivalent field
• Demonstrated research excellence evidenced by a solid publication record or significant research accomplishments
• Strong knowledge in ML/AI applications
• Previous training or research experience in battery-related studies
• Proficiency in one or more of the following: solid mechanics, numerical electrochemical modeling, or DFT/MD modeling
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across scientific disciplines
