About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct basic and translational research investigating cell division, spindle orientation, and their roles in hereditary and childhood cancers.
- Design and execute research plans and perform comprehensive data analyses.
- Contribute to the writing of high-quality manuscripts and grant applications.
- Present research findings at internal and external scientific meetings.
- Mentor junior trainees and students within the laboratory.
Requirements
- PhD in Cell Biology, Cancer Biology, Developmental Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in mammary epithelial biology, organoid systems, cell division/mitosis, or genome instability.
- Proven record of first-author publications in high-impact scientific journals.
- Experience with live-cell imaging, advanced microscopy, mouse models, or primary cell culture.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in BRCA1, HMMR, PLK1, or related mitotic regulators.
- Experience in epithelial polarity or tissue architecture.
- Proficiency in quantitative or systems biology approaches, such as imaging analytics, proteomics, or genomics.
- Demonstrated ability to lead research projects independently.
- Commitment to enhancing awareness and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
