Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and lead projects focused on developing and validating precision health models for disease diagnosis and treatment recommendation.
• Apply data science and machine learning techniques to identify novel biomarkers for Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD).
• Integrate biological and data science approaches to evaluate plasma biomarkers in combination with retinal vascular health.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary consortium including researchers from The Roux Institute, The Jackson Laboratory, Northern Light Acadia Hospital, and the University of Maine.
• Work within a co-mentored framework involving both Northeastern University and JAX researchers.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Deep Learning (DL).
• Technical expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Computer Vision (CV).
• Familiarity with genomic and bioinformatic databases.
• A strong record of academic publications.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative research environment.
